Located 7km north of Bhaktapur, standing at an altitude of 1541 m, the temple of Changu Narayan is considered to be the oldest hindu shrine dating back to 325 A.D. It is one of the seven world heritage sites located in the valley. From Changu narayan one can get a magnificent view of the kathmandu Valley. The hike offers an insight into the life in the villages and at the same time offers the magnificent Changu Narayan Temple. One can get there by local bus that goes every half an hour from near Mahakalishthan or by motorbike. It is more interesting hike to stroll toward the Nagarkot - the hill station (2 hrs )
